DSG Backup 2006 Professional

MySQL Databases

DSG Backup allows you to backup databases from local or remote MySQL database servers.

The MySQL database must be defined in the Server Properties group box.

Required parameters:

  • Hostname/IP: Name or IP address of MySQL server
  • Port: MySQL server port number (Default 3306)
  • Username: Username for the MySQL access account
  • Password: MySQL access account password
  • Database: Name of the database. Click Select to show the database selection dialog. You have to fill in the server parameters before this, because DSG Backup must connect to the database server to get database list.

Click the Hostname/IP edit box button to select a predefined MySQL server.

If you want to backup more than one database you have to create a new backup item.

The Tables list shows the tables from the currently selected database. Click Update to reload the list and check the tables you want to include in the backup. Only checked tables will be included in the backup.

If Always include all is checked then all existing tables will be included and all newly created tables will be included automatically.

The comment edit box allows you to add a comment to the backup item. The comment will be displayed in the main window tree view.

Click OK to save the backup item.
