Sometimes is very hard to identify exactly which files or registry settings we want to backup. E-mail clients, instant messenger clients and other common programs stores their files in hidden or hard to find folders, or registry keys. DSG Backup helps the backup set creation with predefined backup items and backup item groups. These includes application settings, email client profiles, instant messenger client profiles, system settings:

Microsoft Outlook Express 5/6 data

• Mozilla Thunderbird 0.9/1.x data
• Mozilla Firefox 1.x data
• Mozilla 1.x data
• Eudora 6.x data
• The Bat! 3.x data
• ICQ Lite/Pro data

To backup a specified profile, select the application from the treeview and choose a profile from Profiles combo box. Some applications does not support multiple user profiles, in this case the Profiles combo box is not visible. DSG Backup must find at least one profile for the selected application otherwise an error message will be displayed. This will happen if the selected application is not installed on the current machine.

When you selected the application and a profile, check the items you wish to include in the backup set. Each item represents a special backup item (folder or registry backup item), therefore standard item properties will not be available.

Click Add&Close to add the item and close the dialog.

Click Add to add the item and continue adding items.

Click Close the dialog, without adding the item.
